Update 10 - Unlocked Basement Games and Blueprint Diner

Soooo, I wrote up a little update a while ago, but it just disappeared on me. Either way, this update is here to announce that we’re gonna be moving to make a few more games. TAG was always my personal magnum opus type work, which means it will probably never be made in the way I wanted to, and I need to be more okay with that.

However, the second dream, of creating a better game studio with the people I loved working with, is still very much alive. And with that, I’d like to announce a new game!

Blueprint Diner

Blueprint Diner came out of our ludem dare 54 submission, which was originally called pong diner, for the way the customers would pong around. I’ve turned the idea to more of a controlled simulation, where you’d place down tables and create a restaurant for the sake of efficiency. We’ve got the basic barebones version of it running, and we’re planning to add new features and levels for folks to explore the simulation a little more.

Godot

We made this in Godot, and surprisingly, it’s been really simple to use. It was a slow start, but after using it for a while, it seems to be a lot more intuitive than the Unity system. We might stick with this system for a while.

The Future

We’re gonna be working on Blueprint Diner for a bit. But it might take us some time to get back into the groove of consistent updates. And by us, I mean me. But expect regular updates for the next few months at least. The base framework on Blueprint Diner is all good, it’s just about adding new features.
